The Perfect Example of God

 Introduction

 

It is important for the readers not to misunderstood the title. It is impossible for us to know God by his essence. Thus, the scholars of creed or aqidah teach us that we get to know God by his attributes. The 99 names of Him in the Al-Quran are among the examples.As for the sufi`s, they have this saying where it goes :

 

 

تخلقوا بأخلاق الله

 

Translation : Imitate the attributes of your God.


It is important to note that tassawuf or ihsan is the third pillar without it. The Muslim who lives his life without it is consider to be imperfect. This is where most of us are lacking right now. The creed and jurisprudence are known widely but the ihsan part of the religion is not being practiced generally.


God And His Messengers

 

It is important to note that God sent his messages through human to the mankind. He does not send his messages through angels directly to the human kind because of his own reasons. It is reported that there are 313 mesengers that conveys his message and hundred of thousands that received his message but did not convey it.

All of them came with the same message which is about oneness of God and the day of resseructions. The only different things about them is the jurisprudence or the law. This is because different people in different place and time suits different laws.


Prophet Mohamad  Is The Perfect Example Of God

 

It is one of the thing that is well known from the religion that prophet Mohamad was the person who was the closest man to God. Thus, the sufi`s labeled him as the perfect man or inasan kamil. He achieved the most perfect of God`s attribute. It is mentioned in a hadith :

 

 

كان خلق النبي الله خلق القرأن

 

 

Translation : Indeed the ethics of the Messenger just like the Al-Quran

 

If the readers would like to read the primary source for my statement, they can refer to a book written by Al-Jilli titled Insan Kamil. This book is the one promoted this idea  of the perfect man. There are some scholars that disagree about the concept of equalizing God with human. However, they merely read the book without any proper explanation. The sufi`s said that equalizing God with human attributes rather than its essence. Equalizing God and human in terms of essence is a clear unacceptable words of faith.


Conclusion

 

It is important to note that the sufi`s had their own wording and terminologies in order to describe the spiritual journey to God. It is better for us that did not know to ask them regarding this matter before jumping into conclusions.

A lot of their sayings might not be familiar with the public. Plus, this is the prove that what is written in their book is the only the introduction to the journey of God. A person is not consider walking before finding the right teacher to guide him.

Pertentangan Di Antara Falsafah Islam Dan Barat

  Pengenalan       Perlu diketahui bahawa manusia itu terbahagi kepada dua bahagian yang tidak dapat dilihat dengan mata kasar, iaitu akal dan ruh.   Pengenalan     Perlu diketahui bahawa Islam adalah agama yang membuka seluas luasnya kepada pengikutnya untuk beramal. Ini termasuk di dalam hukum hakam yang digariskan oleh ulama. Hanya terdapat sedikit perkara yang wajib dan begitu juga yang haram. Yang lain semuanya bersifat harus.
