The Current Problems Muslims Are Facing

 The Muslim`s Basic Philosophy

 

The basic picture that a muslim should have in mind is that they are not going to live in this world forever and there is a guidiline in handling all the things in this life. From cooking,reading,marriage,trade,political jurisprudence and others were all being revealed down.


This paper will not touch on all of the aspects rather than discussing the major problem of knowledge in the modern world. First of all, I would like to classified knowledge into two, the revealed knowledge and the human-found knowledge. These two has different goals and cause. The revealed knowledge was sent down from God and the second one is found by human to solve its daily live. The methods of learning and teaching,sources,nature and effects of both knowledge are different.




The Human-found knowledge

 

Islam does not rejects this kind of knowledge. It might be mandatory in few  circumstances. However, there is the right treatment for this kind of knowledges. First of all, it must be clear the goal of these knowledges. Secondly, the quantity in spreading this knowledge must be adequate rather than teaching it to all of the society.

If we study deep enough, we will find that it keeps on changing from time to time because of its relevancy. The old technologies will be replaced with the new one. Thus, spending a great efforts in learning this temporary knowledge is useless for the Muslim community.

The results provided by this knowledge is also not concretee. We can see that a lot of researches that being amended from time to time. Some claims that this causes from biass. They hope that by giving some information to the public about something will return the favour back to them although the information is not fully accurate.Thus, the information provided might or might not bring results to the users.


The Wrong Role Model To be Followed

 

 

The modern muslim seems to be confused on the wrong model to be followed. It is not wrong to have a role model because it is the part of the human being nature. Some of the Muslim scholars said :

 

تخلقوا باخلاق الله

 

Translation : Imitate the attribute of your God.

 

What the scholars meant here is to make the attribute of God such as loving,mercy,generous,forgiving,soft and others as an example in life. The person who hold the most praised-attribute in this world is the prophet Muhammad himself.However, in acquiring these attributes need a living example and the prophet is not in this world anymore. Thus, it is advise to be companion with the pious as the Al-Quran said :

 

 

يا أيها الذين أمنوا أتقوا الله و كونوا مع الصادقين

 

 

Translation : O the people who believe in god, fear him and be with the righteous.

  Pengenalan       Perlu diketahui bahawa manusia itu terbahagi kepada dua bahagian yang tidak dapat dilihat dengan mata kasar, iaitu akal dan ruh. Maka inilah alat yang sepatutnya digunakan oleh umat Islam untuk menginfakkanya pada jalan agama baik dari segi individu mahupun komuniti.   Pengenalan     Perlu diketahui bahawa Islam adalah agama yang membuka seluas luasnya kepada pengikutnya untuk beramal. Ini termasuk di dalam hukum hakam yang digariskan oleh ulama. Hanya terdapat sedikit perkara yang wajib dan begitu juga yang haram. Yang lain semuanya bersifat harus. Akan tetapi, ramai di antara penganutnya yang tidak faham hukum hakam ini sehingga ada yang mengatakan Islam agama yang jumud.
