Islam God And Afterlife

 Introduction

 

Is this life just about accumulating wealth and followers? This is a question that should arise in our minds. If life is just about accumulating wealth and followers, this is something that not everyone can achieve.


Islam on the other hand teach humans through prophets to solve certain things in life like life,death,born and others. Smart people will tends to solve on things that surely occurred rather than something that might or might not happened.


The Concept of God In Islam

 

One of the most clear concept of God in Islam that differentiate it from another religion is he is sole and absolute. His essence and attributes are not like his creations. He exists before time and will continue to exists after the cease of time. This will avoid us in worshipping the wrong God.

From the beginnig of time, God sent prophets to the mankind in order to know him and live as his please. It is mentioned in Al-Quran :

 

 

و ما خلقت الجن و الأنس ألا ليعبدون

 

Translation : I do not create the devil and human except to know me


The Concept of Afterlife

 

It is important to note that one of the fundamental creed in Islam is the live after death. If any Muslim rejected this, he will consider to be out from Islam (ردة). It is undeniable for the human whether a Muslim or not, that he was born in this world without asking or knowledge about it. He will then die after a certain amount of time.

Since we are still here in this life, it is important to seek the answer where are we going after death. Is it just end of everything? Thus the answer lies in the hand of the creator of life and death, which is God himself. This concept is the answer to all the things that happened in our life.

Sometimes we can see that an unjust person keeps on doing bad things but but still did not get any payback from his actions. For example, Pharoah was one of the meanest person describes by Al-Quran. However, he live with a lot of wealth,power and fame until his last breath. Thus, Al-Quran said that although he repented at his last moment, Allah did not accept it. Their place is in hell.


Conclusion

 

To sum up, this paper talked about the basic philosophies of Islam. However, it might contained enough information for those who just started learning about Islam. This is the answer to the life`s question that everybody will encounter.

In easy words, Islam creates its own culture in wherever it enter or whenever it enter. Among them is the jurisprudence,creed and ethics as explained above. They are built up upon knowledge rather than just inherit it more from the ancestor.

Plus, we can see the modern world started to accept it because it can solve what modern knowledge cannot solve. This is the knowledge intended for humanity until the end of time. Different from modern sciences where it only intended to solve problems for  a short period of time.

  Pengenalan       Perlu diketahui bahawa manusia itu terbahagi kepada dua bahagian yang tidak dapat dilihat dengan mata kasar, iaitu akal dan ruh.   Pengenalan     Perlu diketahui bahawa Islam adalah agama yang membuka seluas luasnya kepada pengikutnya untuk beramal. Ini termasuk di dalam hukum hakam yang digariskan oleh ulama.
